By Patricia Clapp
Directed by Rebecca Taylor and Garry Thomas

Season: 21 to 30 January 2011

The Truly Remarkable Puss-in-Boots tells of the clever, swaggering Puss who struts through a series of adventures which give his young master position, riches and a happily-ever-after ending.

The young master's two elder sisters scoff when their brother receives only a cat in their father's will, but this is no ordinary cat, it is Puss, the self-styled 'truly remarkable cat.' It all comes to an exciting conclusion when Puss comes face to face with a most terrifying ogre who holds the key to the wealth and riches that Puss is seeking for his master.

Add in a beautiful Princess who is desperate to find the man of her dreams, a friendly Queen and two roving, singing narrators, and you have the recipe for an entertaining production.

Directors Rebecca Taylor and Garry Thomas are excited at bringing “Puss…” to the Elmwood stage.

“The story is true to the original tale,” says Taylor.  “But we’ve got such a talented and creative cast, we’ve added our own touch to it.  It’s very, very funny and I’m absolutely sure the kids are going to love it.”
