By Arthur Miller
Directed by Hunter Bell

Season: 27 - 30 May 1964

The play focuses on Loman's ideals of the American Dream. He has believed all his life that the American Dream will pave the road to being successful and wealthy, but he has yet to fulfil that dream. Willy paints himself to be a very successful and family-oriented man. In reality, Willy is not any of those things. Nevertheless, he has the constant support of his loving wife, Linda.

The play centres around Willy's last day alive and random flashbacks of his past. These flashbacks portray the reasons why Willy has failed at many of life's obstacles, including his career. The flashbacks reveal an affair that Willy had years earlier and gives a look into his relationships with his sons Biff and Happy. His relationship with Biff is strained because of the affair. Biff looked up to Willy, and in turn, was the apple of Willy's eye until Willy's affair led to Biff resenting him. Because of this, Biff became a rebellious, high school dropout. On the other hand, Happy is more successful than Biff, but still strives for attention from his parents.
