Elmwood Players are seeking singers, dancers and actors aged 10-18 years old for the classic gangster musical, Bugsy Malone! On stage 6th to 16th October in the school holidays.
The pint-sized, pinstriped classic is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the gangster films of the 1920's. Based on the hit 1976 film, featuring a catchy, swinging score by the composer of The Muppet Movie, Bugsy Malone is good, clean, comedic fun!
Auditions
These will take place on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th July, with any call backs that may be required on the Sunday afternoon. Auditions are in a fun group-workshop style. Please note that only auditionees are permitted to be in the audition space. Each workshop audition may take up to 2.5 hours. While it is our mission to be able to offer parts to as many young people as possible, due to the script, and our commitment to health, safety and wellbeing, numbers are ultimately limited, and decisions are final. There are a range of parts of various sizes, and while not everyone is able to be cast in a lead role, each successful performer will have the opportunity to showcase their unique talent. Auditions will take place within Christchurch City, with further and full audition information being sent to auditionees by Tuesday 6th July.
